Bio
Philipp Buehrsch, one of the two Directors of the ETCS-Programme of the german rail infrastructure manager DB Netz AG, has more than 14 years rail business track record. Before he started as ERTMS-Programm Director he was responsible in various management positions for DB Netz and the Deutsche Bahn Holding. Among other as Project Manager for operation and construction management, Head of business development programme quality and innovation DB Netz and strategic asset management for rolling stock maintenance.
Philipp Bührsch studied civil engineering and project management at the Universtiy of applied science in Biberach/Riß
Joern Schlichting, one of the two Directors of the ETCS Programme of the german rail infrastructure manager DB Netz AG, has a more than 25 years rail signaling track record. Before joining DB in 2011 he worked for Invensys Rail Ltd. in the U.K. and Siemens Transportation in Germany amongst others as Delivery Director and Project Manager for large rail infrastructure projects in China (maglev) and the Netherlands (HSL Zuid).
Joern Schlichting studied Mechanical Engineering at the Carolo Wilhemina University in Braunschweig.
