1.What is the Intelligent Rail Summit and when does it take place?

The Intelligent Rail Summit 2016 is part of the RailTech Expert Series. The event targets discussions on the latest updates and developments in the railway sector.

This three day event focuses on individual themes:

The Intelligent Rail Summit kick-starts in Naples Italy, on the 22nd of November 2016.

2. Why should I participate?

With an expected number of over 500 railway professionals this event is a must attend for rail professionals. By joining you will find out about:

  • The current situation of WTMS systems and how can they support TOC and Infrastructure managers
  • Connecting Railway IMS with the signaling system
  • The meaning of Integration of Measuring Systems

3. Who organises the Intelligent Rail Summit?

The event is organised by Promedia Europoint B.V. in cooperation with Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI) and the Graz University of Technology (TU Graz).

You can register for either one, two or all three of the conference days.
If you register before the 10th of October 2016, you may attend all three days of the conference for the price of two.

Academics and students will be required to provide their credentials.

6. When does the conference start?

The conference begins on the 22nd of November at 9:00 AM with registrations at the venue.

7. Where is the conference venue located?

The Intelligent Rail Summit will be hosted at the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa in Naples, Italy. The Museum offers a fantastic experience to visitors of all ages: a fascinating journey through time among the locomotive and trains that united Italy from 1839 to modern times, spanning the 170-year history of the Italian railways.

8. What about the conference speakers?

The array of speakers includes a number of international experts and decision makers within the railway industry. The speakers will be address the three conference topics independently according to their expertise.

9. How do I get to the conference?

There are several ways to reach the Pietrarsa National Museum depending on your transportation preference.

By train – The Museum can be reached by the metropolitan and regional trains of the Naples-Salerno line, stop at Pietrarsa-S. Giorgio a Cremano.

By car – From the A1 Rome-Naples motorway take exit Napoli Centro – Via Marittima in direction to Portici. At the end of S. Giovanni a Teduccio street take Traversa Pietrarsa on the right From A3 motorway take the exit Ercolano-Bellavista or S. Giorgio a Cremano, direction Naples

By bus – The museum can be reached by Anm company busses from Garibaldi square: 254 and 256 direction San Giorgio a Cremano. From via Marina the bus 157 or 255 direction San Giorgio a Cremano.
The bus stop is “Pietrarsa”.
