The Dutch government is on the verge of the decision to start the realization phase of the ERTMS Program. What exactly does the government want to achieve with the rollout of ERTMS and how does that fit in the mobility policy? Speaker biography:
Drs. Hugo Thomassen graduated from the University of Groningen as an economist. First active at Bakkenist Management Consultants with a focus on strategy and efficiency assignments. Then worked for 20 years in the rail sector in various management positions including rolling stock, logistics, commerce and strategy development and implementation. At the moment, in charge of a client unit at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management aimed at the introduction of the new European train safety system ERTMS in the Netherlands.
