The allocation of track access charges is an area of intense debate in the rail sector. On 14 and 15 October 2020 the discussion continued during the 5th edition of the Track Access Charges Summit. This edition of the Track Access Charges Summit was, due to COVID19, an online event.

The 2020 edition of the conference focussed on both the regulative and political aspects of track access charging and the implementation of the minimum access package and different additional aspects. Already implemented models were presented and ideas and approaches to improve the schemes especially in relation to a fair intermodal competition were discussed.

Track Access Charges (TAC’s) is an area of intense debate in the rail sector. How can infrastructure managers and rail operators work together to ensure a more transparent and fair system. At the online Track Access Charges Summit 2020 the delegates had the opportunity to take part in the discussion.

The digital conference connected professionals from the global railway industry in times of corona. More than 150 attendees listened to expert speakers from around the globe. Digital networking meetings allowed professionals to stay in touch with other international professionals in times of corona.
